Manganin wire is a type of resistance wire made from an alloy of copper, manganese, and nickel.

It has a very low temperature coefficient of resistance, which means that its electrical resistance changes very little with changes in temperature. This makes it useful in applications where precise electrical resistance is required over a wide range of temperatures, such as in electrical measuring instruments and temperature sensors.

Manganin wire is also known for its high resistance to corrosion and its ability to withstand high temperatures.
